Qualities of wise people – Niti Shataka

The “Niti Shataka” is a famous collection of verses attributed to Bhartruhari, an ancient Indian philosopher, poet, and scholar. It is a work that is often studied and cited for its wisdom and teachings on human behavior, ethics, and practical wisdom.

प्रारभ्यते न खलु विघ्नभयेन नीचैः

प्रारभ्य विघ्नविहता विरमन्ति मध्याः ।

विघ्नैः पुनः पुनरपि प्रतिहन्यमानाः

प्रारब्धमुत्तमजना न परित्यजन्ति ।।

There are three types of human beings in the world:- 1. Low, 2. Average and 3. Excellent . Low people do not start work at all because of the fear of being interrupted. Average people start the work, but as soon as there is an obstacle, they leave it in the middle, but the work started by the best person, even if there is a ton of an obstacles, they never leave until its completed.
